about

From the liner notes of the original Scratch Records double 7"-
"This space is reserved for something eloquent and elegaic about Thee Crusaders, one of the finest bands to ever Grace a stage. It should tell how they first came together to give thanks to the Lord; through their music, and their clothes. It should mention the joy that their ministry brought to hundreds, how some nights it seemed as if their singing and playing could untune the very sky in sympathy. It should perhaps touch briefly on the end of Thee Crusaders, the doctrinal differences that caused the final, irrevocable split, and the work of the Lord that they are each carrying on individually. The notes should conclude by mentioning that the records the consumer is holding, are a testament to Joy and love of the Lord as expressed through rock music, something like that." I can only add: amen.

"a self-confessed 'record-collector type' who lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, plays guitar left handed, and writes the damnedest songs you've ever heard...
...Another feature of Mark's songs makes them unusually appropriate for reinterpretation: their avoidance of the confessional and autobiographical."
